Accepting these terms

By using startuphelms.com you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy (/privacy/). If you use the site for a company, you confirm you can bind that company. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. There are no user accounts at launch; these terms still apply to forms you send and to the newsletter.

What our content is

Our lists, scores, profiles, guides and comparisons are editorial opinions based on research of public vendor information and, where stated, our own testing. At launch every entry is marked "Researched (not tested)". Prices and features change often; each price shows the date we verified it. We are not a reseller and you buy software directly from the vendor on the vendor's terms.

Nothing on the site is legal, tax, accounting, payroll or financial advice. Terms such as GST, TDS, PF and ESI are explained for orientation only; check your obligations with a qualified adviser.

How you may use our content

You may read, share links to, and quote short extracts of our content with a link back to the source page. You may not:

• Copy, republish or resell our lists, scores, tables or profiles in bulk.
• Scrape, crawl or harvest the site with automated tools except search-engine crawlers that respect robots.txt, or use our content to train or build a competing dataset without written permission.
• Present our scores or badges as an endorsement without linking to the current page and its date.
• Interfere with the site's security or operation, or try to access data that is not yours.

The Startup Helms name, logo and design are ours. Vendor names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify their products.

Listings

We decide which tools to list, how to score them and where they rank, using the method on How we rank (/how-we-rank/). Listing is free and based on editorial merit. We may add, re-rank, mark "Not yet scored" or remove a tool at any time, and we log re-ranks in each list's What changed log. We do not guarantee that any tool will be listed or keep its position.

Vendor submissions and claims

If you submit a product (/submit/) or claim or correct a profile (/claim/), you confirm that you are authorized to act for the vendor and that what you send is accurate and not misleading. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit and publish the facts, logos and screenshots you supply, for listing and describing the product. We may rewrite, verify or decline anything you send. Vendor-confirmed facts are labelled "Facts confirmed by vendor [date] · not a quality signal".

Vendors must not post or commission fake reviews, offer incentives for reviews of a set sentiment, or ask us to suppress accurate negative information.

Sponsored placements

Sponsored placements are sold under a separate written order with [Legal entity name], and that order and our Advertising disclosure (/disclosure/) govern them. Every paid placement is labelled Sponsored, sits in a fixed position, carries rel="sponsored" links and never outranks our editorial #1. Payment never buys a rank, score, Editor's pick, review or removal of a con. We may refuse or remove any placement that breaks these rules, the law or our editorial policy.

Links to other sites

We link to vendor sites and other sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices, privacy practices or availability. Your use of a vendor's product is between you and that vendor.

Reporting errors and complaints

If you find an error, use Report an error on the page or email [email]. For copyright or other legal complaints, write to [email] with the URL, what you own or allege, and how to contact you. Users in India can also contact our Grievance Officer (/grievance-officer/).

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that content is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, or that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors or harmful code.

Limits on our liability
